About Emmet (he him)
I am now 14 and in high school, I grew up in a big family. I am extremely accepting and open-minded. I have strong values and goals and I want others to reach their goals too. I’m not super social but I’m still good with people. I have ADHD and autism so I understand (it doesn’t affect my ability to interact with people, learn or teach) I am eager to teach and help.

I believe that learning at your own pace, in your own way is very important. I have a younger sibling so I have experience explaining things in the easiest way to understand. I like to explain at the simplest level possible and build up from there making sure that you not only understand how to get the answer but why, how, and understand exactly what we are doing at each step so that you can build on that even further without any gaps. I myself have ADHD and Autism as well as other things so I know what it’s like to not understand or feeling like the explanations just don’t make sense or even zoning out in class and missing the whole lesson. I struggled for a while because of this and eventually everything clicked when I started learning at my own pace in my own way and allowed myself to be me and make mistakes, and after building on not only what but why and how I began to excel in school and eventually out of school too. I want to help others find the joy in learning that many don’t believe exists, but I promise you it does. I hated school, but now I am doing great in school because I found a way of learning that worked for me and stopped just learning what the answers were but how to get them, why that is the answer and how I got there. I want to support others in finding their way of learning and what works for them so that they can experience the joy of learning too and maybe hate school just a little less.
