About Devon
I am new to tutoring, but I have a Bachelor's degree and am currently working as a substitute teacher in Oakland Unified School District. There are a lot of English learners in the district, so I have gained experience teaching students who are new to the English language, and guiding them through their school work.

My teaching method is immersion. I will speak to you in English while falling back on digital translation aids if there are specific words or ideas that I cannot express to you in a way that you will understand. I will help you work through your homework assignments, study for tests, or compose papers and articles for school assignments. I will not do the work for you, but will support and guide you in a way that enables you to do the work for yourself.
