About Aneesah

I want to teach as I can remember my own struggles in trying to find an appropriate tutor and I feel that I am able to assist in exam performance as well as subject comprehension.

By scheduling regular lessons with students, it encourages repetitive learning which is the most successful learning technique for exams. In addition, one on one learning allows insight that teachers accommodating to 30+ students are simply not able to give. Exam technique is often neglected in schools and is vital for students to learn so that they can achieve those top marks.

Through my experiences I believe that I have identified a host of extraneous variables that can be addressed in order to improve students' confidence. Often, underperformance in subjects is due to an incompatible teaching style and I believe that tutoring is a solution that directly addresses the cause.

About the lesson

I accommodate to a large variety of learning styles; auditory, visual and kinaesthetic. Where possible I like to arrange an introductory group call with parents/tutees prior to our first lesson to gauge learning style and the most appropriate resources. My primary focus is on comprehension of the subject matter, however often for some tutees more emphasis is needed on exam technique. Thus my teaching style is unique to the individual.
I prefer to teach for an hour at a time (for students' benefit) however, I understand individual circumstances may not permit this and am happy to teach longer intervals too.
My experience as a tutor has catered to a variety of individuals; from 11+ students to 2nd year university students with learning difficulties. I am familiar with most (if not all) UK exam boards including AQA, OCR and Edexcel.
