About Alicia
I can assure all my students a tutor that wants to see them succeed in their endeavours!
My lessons are not manufactured nor standard. Each session and lesson is tailor made to the student I teach and their learning style whether it be visual, spoken or in the written word. I don't take on too many students at once because I like to foster good rapport with the few that I have and to focus on their learning styles.
I also like to make sure lessons are never mundane and are always engaging. My belief is that students learn best when they enjoy the subject and that's what I strive to do! Looking forward to getting to know all my students better! :)

Hi! I'm a student tutor, or peer tutor, with four years of experience in teaching particularly pre-University students. I'm especially well-versed in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Geography.
I can teach both American and British English.
I prefer to teach online because I'm always on the move. Lessons on Zoom or Google Meet are perfect. I'm also open to meeting with both student and guardian for the trial lesson for the student's comfort. I have experience with ADHD students as well.
My trial lesson always includes a consultation where I like to have a conversation with my students. I like to get to know my students and to have them be comfortable enough to raise questions with me. I get to know them, gage their ability and develop a lesson plan with them before tackling problem areas each session!
What sets me apart from most tutors is that I'm often of a similar age. As such, I'm able to connect with my students better, empathise with their struggles and teach them in a way that is tried and tested on my peers.
While my lessons are geared toward elementary, middle, high, primary and secondary kids, I am also able to teach professional English.
I can help with English proficiency, SAT preparations, IELTS and etcetera.
