  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    Hindi interest:
My interest in Hindi developed from studying the language from 1st to 10th standard. I also appeared for proficiency exams in Hindi, which deepened my understanding and appreciation for the language. Participating in extemporary, recitation, debates, and poetry recitals further fueled my passion. Through these experiences, I discovered Hindi's richness and diversity, solidifying my desire to teach and share this beautiful language with others.

    English interest:
English has been one of my strongest suits since childhood, thanks to my love for reading. I've devoured books across genres, developing a profound appreciation for the language's nuances. Participating in extemporary speeches, debates, and recitals honed my communication skills and intensified my enthusiasm. My extensive reading habit and involvement in literary activities have fortified my foundation in English, enabling me to teach it effectively and inspire students to explore its vast possibilities.
I've always had a natural affinity for English, nurtured by a lifelong reading habit. This passion, combined with active participation in debates, recitals, and literary events, has made English one of my greatest strengths. I'm eager to share my knowledge and excitement with students, helping them unlock the language's potential and explore its rich cultural and literary heritage.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My father, a corporate professional, is the inspiration behind my passion for teaching. Despite his busy schedule, he took it upon himself to nurture my curiosity and academic growth. He invested countless hours teaching me languages, science, and various subjects, sparking my interest in learning. His dedication and patience instilled in me a strong foundation in Hindi and English, laying the groundwork for my future academic pursuits.

His influence extended beyond academics; he taught me valuable life skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. His unwavering support and encouragement motivated me to pursue my dreams, and I'm proud to say that I'm now a skilled professional with a strong command of languages.

My father's selfless commitment to my education has inspired me to pay it forward. As a teacher, I aim to replicate his dedication, empathy, and enthusiasm, making a positive impact on my students' lives.
  • How does your work help society?

As a Hindi and English language instructor, my work benefits society in several ways. I empower children with language skills, enabling them to access better educational and career opportunities. Improved communication fosters global understanding, breaking cultural barriers. My classes enhance cognitive abilities, boosting confidence and academic performance. Language proficiency opens doors to diverse perspectives, encouraging empathy and inclusivity. By bridging language gaps, I contribute to a more interconnected community. I shape future generations, equipping them to succeed in a globalized world. My role helps build a more compassionate, well-informed, and culturally aware society, one language skill at a time.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My role model for teaching is Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. His passion for inspiring young minds, emphasis on innovation, and commitment to excellence resonate deeply with me. I strive to incorporate his teachings on curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking into my lessons. As a language instructor, I aim to empower students with effective communication skills, fostering a love for learning and nurturing responsible citizens. Dr. Kalam's philosophy of 'Igniting Minds' guides me to create engaging, interactive, and student-centered learning environments, helping students reach their full potential and make a positive impact in society.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, I have a multifaceted personality. Professionally, I'm a dental surgeon, which allows me to understand the importance of precision and attention to detail. However, my creative side unfolds through dancing, particularly Bharatanatyam and Contemporary styles. Movement and rhythm help me relax and express myself. I'm also an avid writer and maintain my own blog, where I share thoughts on education, healthcare, and personal growth. Writing enables me to reflect, analyze, and connect with others. These diverse pursuits enrich my teaching, fostering creativity, empathy, and a unique perspective that benefits my students.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

My teaching experience has been profoundly shaped by my time at Make A Difference (MAD), an NGO where I volunteered to teach underprivileged kids without shelter. Every week, I'd visit a local children's shelter home, eager to share knowledge and inspire hope. Those bright, resilient young minds touched my heart.

One moment stands out - after their English exams, they presented me with handmade thank-you cards. Tears welled up as I read their heartfelt messages. In that instant, I realized the impact I was making. Their gratitude and smiles validated my purpose.

Those handmade cards became a symbol of my motivation. I saw firsthand how education can break cycles of poverty and empower marginalized communities. This experience ignited a fire within me - to continue making a difference, one student at a time. Today, I carry that same passion and commitment into every classroom, believing that every child deserves a chance to thrive. That shelter home experience not only honed my teaching skills but also instilled a deep sense of purpose and responsibility.
