About Sophia

My name is Sophia and I am currently a sociology undergraduate student at the University of Liverpool. I achieved an A* grade in Sociology A Level, resulting in offers at both University College London and Exeter to study sociology. I am incredibly passionate about the subject and wish to utilise my fervour to spark others’ sociological passions. Ultimately I am wishing to aid students’ exam technique, enabling full sociological potential to be reached.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I use a range of teaching techniques, including clear explanations, guided practice, questioning, and interactive activities, to help students build both confidence, understanding and aid them in developing their sociological imaginations. Lessons typically last around 60 minutes, with flexibility depending on the students’ individual requirements. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. My lessons are suitable for A Level students.
