About Alon
I am presently a Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. I research learning and educational development. I am also an editor of journals and books in the field of education, transformation and democracy. I help with study and learning skills and learning different subjects. I prepare for exams. I help with writing essays and assignments. I also help with research proposals and writing up and submissions of assignments, theses, final projects and dissertations. I specialise in teaching: i. academic writing; ii. research epistemology, methodologies, methods and theories iii. critical thinking; iv. study, learning and academic skills; v. critical engagement with the ideas of others and one's own; vi. writing and defending original ideas; vii. explaining ideas in an academic manner viii. communicating ideas and thoughts clearly and convincingly; ix. formulating good and feasible research questions; x. deconstruction of ideas and theories; xi. constructing, validating and invalidating theories and ideas; I have been preparing students for university life for more than twenty years in the U.K, Israel, France and South Africa. I helped colleagues with publications and teaching. I have been mentoring, preparing disadvantaged students in South Africa for a degree and helped them achieve good degrees and jobs. I have been working with researchers, at all levels, on publishing their ideas. I have supervised students for a successful and quick completion of their degrees. I conducted many education workshops on how to succeed at university, PhD research and academic careers. I did a PhD in education, psychology and philosophy at the University of Bath, England. In my PhD I developed dialectical methods of conceptualising human existence and the human subject which are based on the question, how do I live a more meaningful and fulfilling life and transform my experiences of dissatisfaction and frustration into a more fulfilling life in and with the world, and, in turn, the empowerment and development of the individual participants and communities. In my personal case, education and empowering struggling students to fulfill themselves and achieve their ambitions is what empowers me and provides myself and my life with meaning and fulfillment. This makes my prices so low. I also developed in my PhD. dialectical, democratic and dialogical methods of teaching and learning which are based on co-enquiries, reflections and dialogues on the world, society, as well as on the subjects at hand. I also did an individual post-graduate degree at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the humanities and social science. My individual postgraduate programme critically analysed and criticised the methods and heuristic tools of and in education and social science as dehumanising, objectifying, non-participative and non-democratic. It aimed to find and formulate more humanising, transforming and democratic heuristic tools and methods of and in education, social science and psychology which I did in my PhD at the University of Bath and which I dedicate my career and life to. My B.Sc. and Honours degrees were from London, England, and in Psychology with French Studies. I supported myself during this time by teaching and tutoring privately, at universities and at schools. I came to South Africa in 2012 to do a postdoc and research fellowships in education and psychology and democracy and transformation from dehumanising oppression to a participative humanising democracy for all the people in dignity, wellbeing, growth and empowerment, and equality. I further developed and tested my formulated dialectical, democratic, participative and dialogical educational methods with South African students, academics, inhabitants of disadvantaged townships and rural areas and learners from all backgrounds. I have been teaching and tutoring at universities, schools and privately for more than twenty years in France, Israel, the U.K., the U.S., and South Africa using dialogical, dialectical, participative and democratic methods. I did many teaching courses and completed a teaching certificate during my PhD, post-doc and research fellowships and programmes. These courses and teaching programme taught how to teach at university and in general. I specialise in enabling the development and strengthening of analytical, critical, reflective, dialogical/communicative and enquiring educational skills. I also specialise in qualitative methods. I supervised many students for both first and advanced degrees. I helped matric students. I created and administered educational methods, syllabus, programmes and techniques at and for universities and schools. I am married to a South African woman. I help her raise her adolescent boy and have a toddler girl with her. I spend the days with my daughter, working with her on her enrichment, empowerment and education.

I use the dialectical method. I formulate the most suitable questions and we are answering them. We use transforming conversations. We critically engage with texts. We formulate theories and work at validating and invalidating them. We read and write and discuss and critique what we read. We do assignments together and discuss what we are doing critically and in great detail. I explain everything in great detail.
