About Maria
Hi! I’m a Social Sciences tutor who loves making subjects like Sociology, History, and Political Science easy to understand and genuinely interesting. I scored 99 in Social Science (CBSE 10th) and 98 in Humanities (State Board 12th), and I’m currently a BSW (Hons.) student at one of India’s top colleges for social work, where I was the semester topper in my first year. My classes are friendly, clear, and focused on helping students build confidence and think critically, not just memorize facts. I believe learning Social Sciences should feel interesting and relevant, not just something to memorize for exams. My main goal is to help students understand ideas clearly and see how they connect to real life. Whether it’s sociology, history, or political science, I try to show how these subjects explain the world we live in today.
Teaching Methods and Techniques that I usually use involve Interactive discussions, Simple explanations, Real-world examples, Revision support, Practice and feedback.
And a typical lesson plan of mine would be following the pattern of Recaping the previous session and then moving onto the new topic and exploring and understanding it. Then it would be followed with topic-related activity or homework.
What makes my classes different is that I connect lessons to everyday life and current issues so they feel more real and relatable. I also focus on understanding and critical thinking, not just memorizing as social sciences are subjects that train the minds to use knowledge wisely. My classes are friendly and stress-free, where students can ask questions comfortably.
My lessons are for school students (Classes 9–12): CBSE, or State Board social science and humanities subjects.
