I have known Maire for many years and have had the pleasure of sitting in on some of her classes. I have never seen someone so passionate about her students and subject matter all at the same time. She quickly engages everyone and you can feel the energy change in the room almost immediately. History was never my favorite subject, but she made the topics interesting and relatable even when I felt no connection to that time period at all.
