About Ken
I've been giving lessons for over five years now. I've taught lab safety, introductory cello, and fencing (epee, foil, sabre) to many students, and tutored over 20 students in chemistry, biochemistry and related disciplines. My academic students all achieve at least a grade-letter increase in their scores, if not more. My "activity students" (fencing, cello) all are recognized as well-taught by other teachers.

I'm a research scientist with a B.S. in biochemistry, which I completed in three years. I tutor in General Biology, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Cellular Physiology at the high-school and college levels. I tutor over Skype or Google Hangouts, so I'm not confined to a particular location.
With a flexible teaching style that's worked for non-native English college students and grade-school kids alike, I'm adept at taking the way you learn--be it spatial, kinematic, or what-have-you--and tailoring a workflow to help you achieve the academic goals you have set. No goals? I'll help you identify and achieve a rewarding level of knowledge.
I'm a published research scientist currently employed as an analytical chemist in a mobile laboratory. I truly make learning fun and meaningful by using real-world problems and examples in my tutoring sessions. I know the practical things a student in the sciences needs to know, and I'm effective in communicating them.
