I am a Senior at Duke University studying Mechanical Engineering; I have completed all required courses for my major. I have interned at 3 Fortune 500 companies in various engineering roles and have an understanding of not just the concepts taught in class but also how they are used in industry.
I have a passion for helping other students succeed and truly believe in every student. I am open to any tutoring schedule and level of student excited to reach their full potential.

I generally start a tutoring session with the student solving a problem with minimal assistance if needed. This allows me to gauge the student's proficiency in the subject and how they think. Next, I will walk the student through a similar problem explaining the individual steps required to approach and solve a complex problem. Then, I test the students understanding of the individual steps on a problem before they solve with numbers. This allows me to ensure the student understands the process and is not just copying my work. Finally, the student solves more problems while I help dial-in their skills and understanding.
I typically recommend two tutoring sessions a week: one at the beginning of the week to address new concepts and one at the end of the week to make sure the student fully understands the material and is not lagging behind. This of course can be modified for each student's individual needs.
I have completed every required Mechanical Engineering course at Duke as well as electives in Aerospace Engineering. I have deep understanding of math levels: Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Multivariable Calculus as well as high school math. I also am proficient in high school and college Physics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, and Heat and Mass Transfer.
I enjoy helping students at any level succeed and reach their highest potential. One of the best parts about tutoring is seeing a student realize they are more capable than they ever thought.
