Hello! I’m a passionate and dedicated secondary school science teacher with over 5 years of experience, currently serving as Deputy Head of Science. I hold a degree in Zoology and have a strong passion for conservation and the environment. I’m passionate about science because it explains how the world works and connects to everything around us. I truly believe that every student can succeed in science with the right support and guidance. My goal as a tutor is not only to help you understand the subject but also to inspire confidence and a love for learning. I’m committed to creating a positive, professional, and encouraging environment where students feel valued and motivated. With my extensive classroom experience, leadership role, and scientific background, you can trust that my lessons are carefully planned and tailored to meet your individual needs. About the lesson

As a qualified secondary school science teacher and Deputy Head of Science with over 5 years of experience, I bring classroom expertise into one-to-one tutoring. I teach all GCSE Sciences with a specialism in Biology, focusing primarily on the AQA exam board. My approach is calm, supportive, and student-centred. I aim to build both subject knowledge and self-confidence by creating a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs, using clear explanations, visual aids, exam-style questions, and proven revision techniques to strengthen understanding and exam skills. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and suitable for students aged 11–16 (Key Stage 3 to GCSE). Whether your child is just starting secondary school or preparing for final exams, I help them gain confidence, improve performance, and enjoy science along the way.
