About Rhett
Hello, my name is Rhett Parr, and I am a current medical student at Mercer University School of Medicine. I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in biology from the honors college at the University of Georgia. I taught friends and classmates throughout my time at the university on subjects ranging from introductory biology to advanced cellular biology. I am most knowledgeable in the areas of anatomy, physiology, biology, and microbiology. I am also proficient in college-level genetics, microbiology, chemistry, and physics. Additionally, I have reviewed and edited many medical and PA school personal statements. I enjoy teaching and helping students achieve their desired level of success in the classroom.

I do virtual tutoring sessions and use either a computer drawing pad or a traditional whiteboard for working through materials based on student preferences. My lesson plans revolve around breaking down complex topics by relating them to things students might encounter in everyday life to take the fear out of learning complex biological concepts. I also do my best to show how the information students are learning can be useful in their future graduate and professional studies to make the content more worthwhile to learn. My lessons would be most beneficial to undergraduate students pursuing medical or PA school, though I would also be able to help with AP high school classes as well.
