About Alexander
I am genuinely passionate about mathematics and about helping others build confidence in the subject. I take pride in supporting students who may feel stuck or uncertain, guiding them towards clearer, more effective ways of thinking. My aim is not just to improve grades, but to develop strong problem-solving skills and a deeper understanding that lasts beyond the exam.
I approach every lesson with professionalism, patience and preparation. Maths is not a spectator sport- progress comes through active engagement- so I work collaboratively with my students to ensure they are fully involved in the learning process. With consistent effort and the right guidance, I am confident we can work together to achieve top grades.

I offer structured, engaging online maths lessons for GCSE and A-Level students. My typical lesson length is one hour, which I find is the ideal balance between depth and focus. I have experience teaching primary school maths and GCSE students, and I am now specialising in GCSE and A-Level tuition.
My approach centres on building genuine understanding rather than memorising procedures. I strongly believe that students perform best when they understand why a method works, not just how to apply it. I focus on developing intuition, encouraging students to visualise concepts, recognise patterns, and make connections across topics. I actively welcome questions and curiosity, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas.
Alongside deep conceptual understanding, I also teach efficient problem-solving strategies and exam techniques, including useful shortcuts where appropriate. My goal is to help students become confident, independent thinkers who can approach unfamiliar problems with clarity and logic.
