For the most part, I do lessons structured around "I do, we do, you do" , in which I demonstrate, we do some work together and then you try it on your own. I also like to do physical projects when possible.
Ex. 1 I do, we do, you do
We discuss what a cladogram is and what point of evolution it is supposed to clarify. We will then go through an example where we create a cladogram. The the student is given an example to do on their own.
Ex. 2 Physical Project
We discuss the anatomy of the heart and the student constructs a model of the heart including the structures we discussed earlier
I also like to use short videos that illustrate different points, such as the creation of urine by the kidneys or natural selection
Many years of teaching help me to focus on the needs of the individual child and help them to find their way.
