About Daniel
I am Daniel, an incoming junior pursuing the IB medicine route with a 4.0 GPA, honors STEM coursework, and research experience in computational neuropsychology. I have been mentored by a Yale professor, selected as a Harvard Undergraduate Microbiology Society Junior Fellow, and presented neuroscience research at national conferences.
I also volunteer at a pediatric neurodevelopmental clinic, lead STEM outreach projects, and have helped organize programs with 150,000+ social media views, 300+ signups, Art of Problem Solving connections, and a UTD event. Outside academics, I enjoy violin, tennis, pickleball, and helping students build confidence in science.

My tutoring style is focused on results, active recall, and personalized learning. Because I have a background in neuroscience, psychology, biology, and research, I use methods that help students understand and remember the material, not just memorize it for one test.
I am also a teenager, so I understand how middle and high school students think, what they struggle with, and what school expectations are like today. I have recently taken biology and chemistry, so the content is fresh, and I understand the current level students are expected to know.
My teaching method includes:
* Active recall and spaced review
* Visual explanations and real-world examples
* Having students explain their reasoning
* Reviewing mistakes from homework or tests
* Personalized practice based on weak areas
* AI-supported study plans when helpful
A typical lesson includes:
* Before: I review the student’s goals, homework, test topics, or weak areas.
* During: We correct mistakes, explain the topic clearly, practice problems, and build confidence.
* After: I give focused practice or a short study plan so the student knows what to do next.
My lessons are mainly for middle and high school students in biology, chemistry, general science, psychology, neuroscience basics, science fair research, homework help, and test prep. I can also help elementary students with foundational science, reading, and study skills.
