About Faith
I’m Faith, a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, where I earned my Master’s in Special Education. I hold Wilson Reading System Level I certification and have over 5 years of experience helping children with diverse learning needs build strong reading skills.
My lessons are structured, supportive, and fun, using phonics-based, multisensory instruction that breaks reading into clear steps. I adapt to each child’s learning style and keep parents informed with regular progress updates.

I teach reading using the Wilson Reading System and phonics-based instruction, a structured, multisensory approach that builds skills step by step. Students learn to connect sounds to letters by seeing, hearing, saying, and tapping out words, which helps the skills stick. Each lesson builds on what your child has already mastered, with plenty of repetition and encouragement along the way. Because of my special education training, I adjust my pace and strategies to fit each child’s learning style
My lessons are for early learners through elementary-aged students who are just starting to read, need extra help catching up, or are struggling with decoding, spelling, or fluency. They’re especially helpful for children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or other learning differences, but every child who wants to become a more confident reader is welcome.
Typical lesson: 30-60 minutes
Warm-up: Quick review of previously learned letter-sounds and words
New skill: Explicit, step-by-step introduction of a new phonics concept
Word and sentence work: Reading and spelling words with that skill, using hands-on materials like sound tapping and letter tiles
Connected reading: Practicing the new skill in sentences and short passages to build fluency and comprehension
Wrap-up: Celebrate progress, share a quick recap, and suggest simple practice for home
