About Pratish

Namaste, I’m Pratish, a certified Yoga teacher from India, teaching online Yoga classes to students in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE, Europe, India and other parts of the world.

My approach is to adapt Yoga to the individual rather than giving everyone the same routine. Your experience, goals, lifestyle, body structure, flexibility and comfort are considered when guiding your practice.

Whether you are new to Yoga, returning to practice, or looking to deepen your existing practice, I aim to make the practice appropriate, progressive and practical for you.

CLASS FORMATS

1:1 Personalised Yoga

Individual live guidance tailored to your body, experience, goals and lifestyle. This format is particularly suitable when you want focused attention for specific goals, concerns or individual requirements.

Couple Yoga

Personalised live sessions for two people practising together.

Private Small Group Yoga

Structured Yoga sessions for 3–5 students who form their own private group. Minimum 3 students required. This is not an open/public class.

Private Small Group sessions are primarily designed for general overall physical and mental wellbeing, fitness, mobility, flexibility, stress management and developing a consistent Yoga practice. Group members do not need to have identical personal goals.

MONTHLY PROGRAMS

12 sessions per month — 3 days per week

20 sessions per month — 5 days per week

MY COMPREHENSIVE YOGA PRACTICE INCLUDES

• 60+ Yoga Asanas — A wide range of traditional postures, taught progressively with clear instructions, demonstrations and corrections.

• Surya Namaskar — Included when appropriate for the practice rather than being a fixed part of every session.

• 50+ Pranayama Practices and Combinations — Traditional breathing techniques along with different combinations used to create a varied and progressive breathing practice.

• Meditation & Mindfulness — Practices for awareness, concentration and mental calm.

• Yoga Nidra — Guided relaxation and awareness practice.

• Jal Neti — Traditional nasal cleansing practice, taught with proper technique and guidance where appropriate.

• Distinctive Breathing Techniques — Including Swaiso Breathing, Golden Nugget Breathing, Parshuram Breathing and Valmiki Pranayama.

• Shavasana — Guided conscious relaxation and rest.

The complete range of these Yoga practices is taught across all three formats — 1:1, Couple Yoga and Private Small Group Yoga. What differs between the formats is the level of individual attention and personalisation, not the range of Yoga practices taught.

The particular sequence and combination of practices varies from session to session according to the format and purpose of the session.

Each class is a live, guided 60-minute Yoga session.

A typical 60-minute session may include:

• 10 minutes — Preparation, breathing, gentle stretches and mobility

• 15 minutes — Yoga Asanas and Surya Namaskar when appropriate

• 10 minutes — Rhythmic breathing

• 15 minutes — Pranayama and breathing practices

• 10 minutes — Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Shavasana or relaxation

The exact sequence can vary from session to session.

MY TEACHING PROCESS

Explain → Demonstrate → Observe → Correct → Adapt → Progress

I explain each practice clearly and demonstrate it when required. I then observe your practice, provide real-time corrections, adapt the practice where appropriate, and progressively develop the practice as you improve.

Because the classes are live and interactive, you can ask questions, receive corrections and learn how to practise correctly rather than simply following a video.

During the session, I provide:

• Clear step-by-step instructions
• Demonstrations where required
• Personal observation throughout the practice
• Real-time corrections for posture, movement, breathing and technique
• Appropriate modifications and progression

In 1:1 sessions, the sequence can be tailored more specifically to the individual's goals and requirements.

In Couple and Private Small Group sessions, the practice is conducted as a shared Yoga session for the participants practising together.

Beginners are welcome, while experienced practitioners can also be guided towards deeper and more progressive practice.

The goal is not simply to complete a routine, but to help you understand how to practise, improve your technique and develop greater awareness, confidence and consistency in your Yoga practice.

Find out more about Pratish

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Yoga became an important part of my own life because I experienced how a consistent practice can support physical well-being, mental calmness and greater balance in daily life. This experience motivated me to study yoga more deeply and eventually make teaching it my profession.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My own experience with yoga showed me how valuable a consistent, well-guided practice can be for physical and mental well-being. I became fascinated by the depth of yoga and wanted to help others experience its practical benefits through personalized guidance.
  • How does your work help society?

Through yoga, I help people develop practical practices that support stress management, mobility, strength, flexibility, relaxation and overall physical and mental wellness. I adapt the practice to each student's needs rather than following the same routine for everyone.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

If I had to choose a role model for my work as a yoga teacher, it would be Maharshi Patanjali. He is traditionally credited with compiling the Yoga Sutras, which provide a clear framework for understanding yoga as a path of physical well-being, mental balance, self-discipline, and inner growth.

What inspires me most is that these teachings remain practical and timeless. They show that yoga is not only about physical postures, but also about breath awareness, mindfulness, emotional balance, and living with greater awareness in everyday life.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of yoga, I enjoy reading books on self-growth and spirituality, listening to soothing music, and singing. I also love traveling to peaceful, remote places to connect with the beauty and serenity of nature. Spending time with my childhood friends brings me joy and helps me stay grounded.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

One of my students came to me experiencing significant stress and difficulty sleeping due to work pressure. Through regular online yoga practice, along with breathing and relaxation techniques, the student gradually experienced improvements in relaxation, sleep and daytime energy. Seeing this positive change was one of the most rewarding moments of my teaching journey and reinforced why I value personalized, consistent guidance.
