About Whitney
I am Whitney, and I am a passionate teacher of the Science of Reading. I studied with the University of Illinois- Urbana-Champaign campus, earning my certification in Literacy Teaching and Learning, along with certification from the University of Colorado Anschutz campus in the area of Managing ADHD, Autism, and Concussions in the classroom. Additionally, I have close to three years of experience successfully teaching more than seventy students how to read.

I am a passionate educator of the Science of Reading. My approach to teaching is results-oriented because of the observation of the negative effects that reading failure has on adults - this starts from childhood. Using evidence-based strategies, I assess areas of frustration and then create individualized plans for progression to independence for each child I teach.
With close to three years of experience teaching over seventy children, I am confident in my ability to help you and your family see positive and life-changing results.
