About Mariam
I am a patient, organized, and supportive tutor with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, and science. I am completing an Honors Bachelor of Science in Biology with a 3.93 GPA and will be starting a Master of Biotechnology in Fall 2026.
I have experience tutoring students in biology, chemistry, math, and science across different levels, including middle school, high school, AP-level, and early university courses. I also have research experience through my honors thesis and NSERC-funded lab work, which helps me explain scientific concepts clearly and accurately.
My goal is to make students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and improving step by step. I take preparation seriously and always aim to create lessons that are clear, encouraging, and adapted to each student’s needs.

My lessons are calm, structured, and personalized to each student’s level. I use my iPad to explain concepts visually, write out steps in real time, draw diagrams, and break down biology, chemistry, and science topics in a way that feels clear and manageable.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in to see what the student is struggling with. Then I explain the concept step by step, work through examples, and guide the student through practice questions until they feel more confident. I can also help with homework, test preparation, lab concepts, and study strategies.
What sets me apart is my strong science background, research experience, high GPA, and patient teaching style. My lessons are best for middle school, high school, AP-level, and early university students who want clear explanations, visual learning, and supportive guidance.
