About Nate
My teaching philosophy centers around meeting each student where they are. Every student learns differently, so I believe it's important to adapt lessons and teaching strategies to fit each learner's individual needs, strengths, and goals. Whether a student needs extra support, more challenge, or simply a different explanation, I'm committed to helping them discover the best way for them to learn and succeed.
Outside of education, I enjoy watching sports, seeing live music, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new food spots around Kansas City. I strive to create a friendly, encouraging, and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing their confidence.

My forte is in social studies, writing, and English Language Arts because I enjoy helping students build confidence in their communication, critical thinking, and creativity. I also enjoy finding ways to connect learning to students’ real interests and everyday lives.
