About Allegra
I am a graduate of Columbia University with a year of peer tutoring experience. I majored in English Literature and additionally completed a concentration in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, so while I have devoted much of my time to literature and its craft, I also have learned to research and write in multiple disciplines (mainly humanities).

I am available to help with whatever kind of service you need, but generally my capabilities fall into three categories:
1.Essay writing
-send me your work ahead of time
-we can talk about class expectations and techniques for academic writing
-help with citing sources and academic integrity
2. Creative writing
-send me your work ahead of time
-we can talk about characters, plot, genre, form, anything you like!
-long-term tutoring may be more useful, as this would be more of a structural and story-driven kind of tutoring than technical
3. Proofreading/copy-editing/grammar
-this can be more last-minute or informal
-I can look at one piece of writing per session with you
-I can correct any small grammar or usage mistakes, and I will explain my reasoning so you can learn from your mistakes
