About Albert

What is one of the key foundations to success in a subject like Math Methods? For me, it’s confidence. Confidence that you are prepared, confidence that you will walk into that exam hall with no stone unturned and no unpleasant surprises. This is why my Methods program aims to not only teach my students the content and concepts, but also provide them with the mindset and mentality which is essential for success. Hi, I’m Albert Chen and I graduated in 2024 with a 99.95 ATAR. In 2023, I got a Raw 50 and Premier’s award in Methods and scored a perfect 40/40 on Exam 1 and 80/80 on Exam 2. When I was taking Methods, I found having a tutor to be invaluable and a key to my results, and as such, I want to give others this same opportunity for success and help YOU achieve your Methods goals.

What do I offer?
2 Hour weekly online classes to help MASTERY in key concepts and provide a solid foundation for SACs and exams. The exam is what makes or breaks your study score for most, so my lessons will be exam-centric and focus on how content will be assessed.
High quality weekly lesson notes to supplement learning and provide a source of revision
8 week Exam Period to start as early as possible and develop confidence and familiarity
FREE 1 Hour weekly QnA sessions to address common points of difficulty among students
A holistic understanding of VCAA style examinations, including common difficult question types and patterns
Experience and advice on how to achieve the very top marks, including specific techniques and habits I used to achieve my scores
24/7 email support outside of class hours

Class times:
Weekly classes will be run online, most likely run on weekend nights, although this can be subject to change depending on demand.

Rates:
Group Lessons (2hrs): $60/h
Individual Lessons: $100/h

Experience:
I have experience in tutoring a wide range of students, with positive feedback regarding my tutoring style and quality of explanations. I thoroughly understand the Maths Methods curriculum, having done the subject recently, and know the exact process and techniques to achieve a perfect score on the final exam.
