About Van Der

I work in health, fitness, and education with a focus on helping people improve how they move, feel, and perform in daily life. My work centres on making exercise accessible, structured, and effective for people at all levels, from complete beginners to experienced clients looking to refine their practice.

I am a qualified Yoga Teacher, Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, and Sports Massage Therapist. I also work within vocational education, supporting the training and assessment of future fitness professionals. This combination of practical coaching and educational experience allows me to deliver sessions that are safe, well structured, and grounded in current industry standards.

My approach to teaching is simple and professional. I assess individual needs, set clear goals, and guide each student through progressive, achievable sessions. I focus on correct technique, controlled movement, breathing awareness, and steady development. Every session is planned with purpose, ensuring students understand what they are doing and why they are doing it.

I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including beginners, individuals returning to exercise after time away, and those looking to improve strength, flexibility, posture, mobility, or stress management. Each session is adapted to the individual so progress is realistic, safe, and consistent.

Professionalism, clear communication, and client safety are central to my practice. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident, respected, and motivated to continue their development.

Have you been thinking about trying yoga but are unsure where to start? Or perhaps you're looking to improve your flexibility, reduce stress, build strength, ease back pain, improve posture, or simply take some time for yourself each week. Whatever your goal, my yoga sessions are designed to help you feel healthier, stronger, and more balanced both physically and mentally.

My classes combine movement, breathing techniques, relaxation, and mindfulness to create an enjoyable and rewarding experience. You do not need to be flexible, fit, or experienced to begin. In fact, many of my clients start with little or no previous yoga experience. The goal is progress, not perfection.

I teach using a supportive, step-by-step approach that helps you develop confidence while learning correct technique. Each session is adapted to your individual ability, allowing you to work at a pace that feels comfortable while still making steady progress. Whether you want to improve flexibility, strengthen your core, reduce tension, manage stress, improve balance, support healthy weight management, or increase your overall fitness, sessions are tailored to your needs.

A typical lesson lasts between 45 and 60 minutes and includes a combination of yoga postures, breathing exercises, mobility work, relaxation techniques, and guided instruction. Every session is structured to help you leave feeling refreshed, accomplished, and energised.

I am a qualified Yoga Teacher, Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, Sports Massage Therapist, and Fitness Educator. My background in health, fitness, and movement allows me to provide safe, effective, and enjoyable sessions that focus on both physical and mental wellbeing.

The rest is simply practice, patience, and a little willingness to show up for yourself.
