About Peter
I am a Yoga enthusiast and have practiced the forms of Ashtanga, Iyenga, Bikram and Yin for over 10 years. I am also a keen traveler and have visited several places including South East Asia, USA, Caribbean and Africa. When I travel I always make sure I go off the beaten track because I believe this enhances the travelling experience.
My sporting interests include football and the martial arts and I have competed in several
Thai Boxing competitions.
I am a keen reader and like to keep up to date on current events and I have a particular interest in the criminal justice system and global issues.

I gained my BA (HON) in Public Service Management in 2004 and subsequently my PGCE in post compulsory education in 2010 .I am also a qualified fitness instructor (1999) and fully qualified senior yoga teacher after qualifying in 2011. In 2016 I was successful in receiving funding from the Big lottery Awards For All scheme to teach Yoga sessions to community based groups. In 2018 also received funding from Greater Manchester Mental health trust to teach Yoga to hard to reach groups .In 20121 I also completed a CPD Yoga in Health Care Alliance Yoga4health /Yoga on prescription social prescribing programme which means I can teach yoga to NHS prescribed patients . My knowledge base is in the Humanities, Physical health and wellbeing ,youth and community work . I have gained employment tutoring these subject and third sector organisations.
