About Johans

I am a dedicated and professional primary educator with 2 years of classroom teaching experience, working with students from KG1–KG2 up to Grade 6. My experience in a structured school environment has equipped me with strong classroom management skills, effective lesson planning, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

I have guided students with varying abilities, including those who need extra support and those who aim to excel further. This has helped me develop patience, clear communication skills, and a results-focused approach to teaching.

Teaching Approach & Methodology – Johans

My teaching approach is student-centered, where I act as a guide to help students think independently rather than simply giving answers. I encourage students to share their thoughts and ideas, then guide them step-by-step toward the correct understanding. This helps build confidence and deeper learning.

I follow the 5E Instructional Model in my lessons:

Engage – Capture interest and introduce the topic
Explore – Allow students to think and attempt before explanation
Explain – Clarify concepts and correct misunderstandings
Extend – Reinforce learning through independent practice
Evaluate – Assess understanding through key questions and tasks

This method ensures students don’t just memorize, but truly understand what they are learning.

For subjects:

English – Focus on reading, vocabulary, speaking, and sentence construction
Mathematics – Step-by-step problem solving and concept mastery

I have 2 years of experience as a primary school teacher, teaching students from KG1–KG2 up to Grade 6. I have also provided private tutoring, helping students improve their understanding in key subjects.
