About Neven
My name is Neven. I'm married to Adriana. I help her with raising Esther (4), and Tristan (2).
I have a PhD in Systematic theology from one of the World's most prestigious universities, KU Leuven, Belgium. I specialised in inter-religious dialogue, with a view towards the Orthodox Christian Tradition. My expertise in this field is verified by my peers through a number of published scientific texts, including peer-reviewed articles; a book chapter; and a book proposal accepted for publication (due in 2023/4).
In addition I have an MA in Medieval and Renaissance History, with a focus on the end of the Early Middle Ages, and the start of the High Middle Ages.

According to the classical wisdom, pedagogy is arguably an art since it (teaching) engages in a demonstration of the processes by which the students might acquire the knowledge for themselves. Namely, to teach is not merely to transfer of knowledge, on the contrary, to teach is to cultivate knowledge in the students through the teaching practice.
In effect, this sets out my own basic principle of teaching, which amounts to learning the students how to think, rather than what to think. Independent thinking is the principle general good that I hope to encourage within the learners. With a view towards a successful cultivation of knowledge, as well as a development of independent thinking, my teaching approach in the practical sense would be best described as a hybrid between the traditional, and modern instructional strategies.
In practical terms this translates to a personal approach, very the needs of every student are addressed as a unique encounter. No cookie cutter solutions.
Consequently, while the length of a single lesson will not go over 60 mins; the number of lessons dedicated to the subject matter may vary, depending on the overall progress relative to the goals set out at the onset of the scheduled lesson(s).
