About Chloe

I love to incorporate arts and crafts into learning to encourage creativity as well as developing skills. I was always told that if the workstation is not messy, then not enough learning has occurred. For older students, less arts and crafts would be used, activities for applying the knowledge to real life situations would be used instead. I have always wanted to teach and find it greatly rewarding when a child has learnt something. It’s also very rewarding seeing how happy they are knowing they can achieve something they previously found difficult.

About the lesson

Teaching will be tailored to the student. The first lesson is free to gage where the student is at and what the lessons should involve.
Lessons can be planned according to the child, for primary school level maths I would incorporate play activities as a visual aid but also so that they can complete the task themselves. Breaks are always necessary, maybe a quick snack or a 5 minute play outside to break the session up a bit and to make it more enjoyable.
I have completed a course on teaching math at a primary school age and also have experience working with young children between 2-5 years old. I have also been DBS checked, have completed child safeguarding training, and have training in behaviour management (I.e. reward systems, mild discipline etc.)
