About Lisa

I am an experienced and dedicated teacher with over 30 years of teaching and examining experience in secondary education, specialising in A-level Psychology and Sociology. I have a strong track record of achieving good results and helping students develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed.
I am passionate about helping students achieve their potential, build confidence and develop the independent learning skills they need to succeed in their examinations and beyond.

About the lesson

As an experienced examiner, I have an in-depth understanding of assessment objectives, mark schemes and what examiners are looking for in high-scoring answers. I use this expertise to help students improve their exam technique, structure their responses effectively and maximise their marks.

My approach to tutoring is tailored to the individual student, identifying strengths and areas for development and providing clear explanations, targeted practice and constructive feedback. Having held senior leadership and curriculum roles, I also bring extensive experience of curriculum planning, student progress and effective teaching strategies.
