About Juan Luis
I´ve been teacher at the secondary and undergraduate level, I have also practiced psychology since 2006, and since 2009 I have been a psychoanalyst in permanent formation. Although I can not say how many students I have taught, because I never thought about keeping track of that; but they have been more than one hundred individuals and of the most diverse subjects. As for the results, I will seek to awaken a passionate interest in one's life as well as in the search for knowledge. It is fundamental to distinguish the real limits of the academic field. Well, although I have to recognize the value of the institutions and the titles they grant, I think it is more valuable to recognize the capacity of an individual to create his own world at will. Grades are not a true reflection of knowledge, and degrees can be acquired by investing time and money in many private universities. My students, their families and my patients are the ones who design and enjoy their lives.

There is nothing that is impossible to apprehend and therefore to transmit. I believe that beyond a pedagogical commitment, the content of any subject collides with individual emotional barriers that can even be developed by the figure of the teacher or by those associations made by the student regarding the information studied. Knowledge is not about repeating what has been said previously or completing lessons for no other reason than to present the evidence elsewhere, but to extract the spirit of the text or theme and give it life in our time.
