About Helen C

I am a PhD in Mathematical Sciences. I have been a professor at the University of Havana for the past 15 years.
I have prepared courses in Mathematical Analysis, Calculus, Analytical Geometry, Algebra, Differential Equations and Numerical Methods.
I have worked with Physics, Radiochemistry, Engineering, Biology, Economics, Mathematics, and Cybernetics students. Therefore, I have learned to adapt the teaching of mathematics to different needs and applications.

About the lesson

I have adapted wonderfully to online classes. I always like to have a guide (presentation or book) that serves as study material for students.
I use my whiteboard application to explain exercises in detail or give demonstrations.
I try for the student to learn new concepts from drawing conclusions resulting from the examples we dealt with in class.
In the case of non-mathematics students, I always try to look for examples of applications, to make the subject more enjoyable.

Glen es un estudiante muy entusiasta. Viene con dudas muy concretas porque estudia mucho por su cuenta. Se interesa por el trasfondo de las matemáticas, por lo que me sentí muy cómodo en clase.

Glen is a very enthusiastic student. He comes with very specific doubts because he does a lot of self-study. He is interested in the background of mathematics, which is why I felt very comfortable in the class.
