I am a practicing creative professional, with decades of advertising and brand experience. I am a professional artist with the ability to teach creative conceptual and cognitive development, as well as history of art and design. I studied fine arts and graphic design.

My approach to teaching art is based on giving students information and insights they need to find their own personal creative expression, while learning the various techniques for different media in painting and drawing. I teach in English, although am relatively comfortable in Afrikaans.
My lessons are project based, so that students are able to complete projects and develop a finished portfolio over a number of lessons. I am a hands-on teacher, teaching by example.
I prefer to teach teenagers and adults, from absolute beginners, hobbyist artists and creative professionals.
