I approach each student based on their own needs and requirements. The work that needs to be done for each student is dependent on the skills they want to master and the outcome of the creative process they want to engage with.
I approach each topic by how you feel inside, paint it for me. I want you to feel comfortable in your own skin. And to be honest painting has no rules it makes and breaks you in the way you express yourself.
I base my classes on reading, observation and practice. When you read , you train your mind to capture amd interpret information. In art, one can understand subjects better by reading about them and make artworks based on that information. My lessons will involve alot of conversation and more research to ignite that creativity from the conceptual to the actual piece of work.
All art takes time to improve, so I teach students tips on how to improve their art, as well as art theory and practical knowledge that improves drawing.
I work with different age groups and therefore use different teaching methods that suits one's personal preference for individual classes and for group classes my teaching methods are based on basics and what the student knows thus far.
I base with simple line and shape drawings, followed by basic figure drawing, then basic shading techniques step by step
My teaching method is starting of with a bit of theory depending on what exactly the drawing (theme) is about.
I start with the basic principles of art. Then I assess the level of each student and I help them to develop their skill as an artist/illustrator to the next level. I teach them about the art equipment they need to use in order to get the best results. I also give them ideas about marketing their own artworks and which platforms to use.
My teaching methods varies from learners, teacher learner centered allows understanding and learning to take place and breaks barriers.
I will first give a basic assessment so that I can see the level of the student. I like to give demonstrations and target one point per lesson.
I am a vibrant, fun and energetic teacher. I allow students to open up, learn about themselves and be who they are meant to be. I encourage uniqueness, talent and passion. Art is about expression. I make sure my students know this. I am a fun but firm teacher.
My drawing lessons will incorporate drawing using pencil, washes and charcoal.
My teachings are based on easy steps to understand basic elements of art. I give lessons to primary schools and to up and coming artists with their concept. I specialize in Linocut technique, but I do other techniques of Printmaking. My main goal is to help artist to build their careers in art and share my knowledge of the arts.
