About Shyam

I am a professional artist. I have been working in fine arts conducting solo art shows for over 20 years now. I have been giving drawing classes to students of all age groups for 15 years now.

I have a masters degree in fine arts from a premier art institution like Shantiniketan in Kolkata, India. I am adept at creating artworks in pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, soft pastels, acrylic and oil.

About the lesson

My style of teaching is individualistic. I prefer to work with students on an one-on-one basis. I understand the needs of each student and design a curriculum specific to that student. The classes include teaching of new techniques and various concepts in art. I start the classes with warm-up exercises, then proceed on to learning new techniques, revising earlier taught techniques and then conclude it with art history and showcasing the works of old masters. My classes are exploratory in that I like to work along with my students.
