About Maame

I am a passionate artist with over nine years of experience creating and teaching visual art. I specialize in acrylic painting, pencil drawing, and clay sculpting, with a strong focus on developing both technical skill and creative expression. Throughout my artistic journey, I have worked on a variety of projects and enjoy helping others discover their creativity while building confidence in their artistic abilities. Whether working with beginners or more experienced artists, I strive to make art accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring.

About the lesson

My approach as an art tutor is to help students develop both their technical skills and their creative confidence. I believe that everyone can learn to create art with the right guidance, practice, and encouragement. I tailor each lesson to the student's experience, interests, and goals, whether they are learning the fundamentals or refining an advanced portfolio.

My teaching combines demonstrations, hands-on practice, constructive feedback, and creative exploration. I break down complex techniques into simple, manageable steps while encouraging students to experiment with their own artistic style. I teach traditional drawing techniques, acrylic and watercolor painting, color theory, composition, perspective, anatomy, shading, sculpting methods, and the creative process behind developing original artwork.

A typical lesson starts with a discussion of the student's goals, followed by a warm-up exercise to strengthen core skills. I then demonstrate new techniques before guiding the student through a practical project. Throughout the lesson, I provide personalized feedback, answer questions, and offer tips to improve technique. Each session ends with a review of progress and suggestions for independent practice.

What sets me apart is my focus on both artistic technique and creative expression. Rather than simply teaching students to copy what they see, I help them understand why techniques work so they can confidently create original pieces. I strive to make lessons enjoyable, motivating, and adapted to each student's learning style.
