About Michael

Teaching experience: - Over 2000 hours, 3 years of teaching in Switzerland. (General English, Business English, preparation for TELC, FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC). I can help you gain confidence and fluency in the conversation; Improve your pronunciation and develop your grammar skills. I adapt the private lessons according to the specific needs of each student. I use methods that focus on dynamic and communicative practice with different types of material, both being didactic texts and multimedia resources.

About the lesson

My method is based on CELTA.

This has 3 main points.

The first is to set student's long-term goals so that we both know the expectations.

The second is that we both understand the strengths and weaknesses of the student so that we can make a personalized lesson plan.

The third is to do review exams and reports each week or month to give tangible comments to the student so they can see their progress.

Also integrate grammar into lessons. I feel it is important that the teacher and student get to know each other and so I also ask about personal likes and details about the lifestyle so that I can make each lesson personalized.

In addition, I use the most advanced technology and each student has an online board where we can exchange material when we are not doing class and where I can publish useful online material such as grammar exercises, exams and videos. I expect both the student and the teacher work well.

Hola, soy Andrea y fui alumna de Michael; necesitaba a una persona que me preparara para el FCE ya que tenía que reforzar cada una de las partes del examen. Aún así, nos centramos sobretodo en el Speaking (soy una persona muy tímida y hablar no es mi fuerte).
La verdad es que, a pesar de mi timidez, puede hablar con él con total tranquilidad. Eran clases muy dinámicas y no se hacian pesadas en ningún momento. Podíamos empezar hablando de casas y terminar hablando de Kant.
Noto que sus clases me han sido de gran ayuda; hablo con más fluidez y me siento mucho más segura tanto hablando como escribiendo.
En conclusión, he aprendido mucho con él y no solo de inglés, sino también del mundo. Lo recomiendo a todo el que necesite un profesor de inglés, además de aprender te diviertes.
