About Seb
I am a primary trained fully qualified teacher. I have taught in large, tough and urban primary schools and currently teach at an independent prep school. I have been involved with teaching for 6 years, have taught many many children and enjoy the challenge of working with children day in day out.

'Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand'
I am entirely based around Assessment For Learning (AFL) and student engagement and other than being a nice buzz phrase, AFL means that I would never seek to teach the student something they already know and never to waste time or effort. The aim is to constantly assess the students understanding and identify the areas which they need support in whilst tying in other aspects of the curriculum to ensure regular consolidation, opportunities for mastery and enjoyment.
I would informally assess the student's learning through a variety of questions, mini 'tests' and strive to have the student teaching me by the end of the session.
