About Isabel

I have an international academic background with a PhD in Biological Sciences in Hong Kong, a Master's in Biomedical Sciences from the Netherlands, a Certificate of English as a Second Language from Belize and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemist from IPN in Mexico. I am fluent in English (111 points out of a total of 120 points on the TOEFL IBT exam), Dutch (level B2 on the Dutch exam), and I have basic knowledge of Mandarin and Swedish Chinese.

About the lesson

I have more than 15 years of experience in languages and I am fluent in English (111 points on the TOEFL IBT exam) and Dutch (level B1), in addition to having a basic knowledge of Mandarin and Swedish Chinese. I have experience teaching English at all levels and I specialize in TOEFL preparation courses. My teaching method is personalized and adapted to the student's level of English. I use a specialized book on the TOEFL test as teaching material and focus on getting the theory to a dynamic, entertaining, and simple way so that the student understands it and acquires knowledge quickly. The practice is an essential part of my classes and I include continuous practice to reaffirm the knowledge acquired. With my courses, the student can verify the improvement in their TOEFL score because I include a complete diagnostic exam, exams before and after each section, and a complete final exam in addition to multiple skills review exercises in each section. I offer virtual classes, well structured for the efficient use of available time, and with well-organized progress tracking that will allow the student to visualize their progress throughout the course. My commitment is to facilitate the preparation of the student to obtain the necessary score to pass the institutional TOEFL exam and so that the student can continue with his academic ambitions. My priority is that students achieve their professional goals and that the institutional TOEFL exam is not an obstacle in their way.
