About Adeola
Hello, my name is Adeola Eze, and I am an English educator and literacy specialist with many years of experience teaching learners at different stages of their academic journey.
I teach because I believe language is one of the most powerful tools we can develop. When you learn how to read carefully, think deeply, and write clearly, you gain confidence not only in English, but in how you express ideas, ask questions, and engage with the world around you. My goal as a teacher is to help students understand how language works, not just what to memorise.
I have taught English in schools and universities in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, working with pupils, students, and young adults across a wide range of levels. This experience has shown me that strong foundations in reading and writing make a real difference to long-term academic success. I bring high standards to my lessons, but I also create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to think for themselves, ask questions, and improve with confidence.
I take my work seriously and approach every lesson with careful planning, clear objectives, and respect for each learner. Whether I am working with younger students or older ones, my aim is always the same: to help learners grow in clarity, confidence, and independence in how they use language.
If you enjoy learning, are willing to put in effort, and want to become a stronger reader, writer, and thinker, you will find my lessons purposeful, challenging, and rewarding.

Teaching approach and methodology
My approach to tutoring is purposeful, structured, and intellectually demanding, while remaining warm and supportive. I teach English as a thinking discipline, not just a subject, helping learners understand how language works so they can read deeply, write clearly, and express ideas with confidence.
Lessons are carefully planned around clear objectives and focus on developing reading comprehension, structured writing, vocabulary precision, spelling, and core language skills in context. I use guided instruction, discussion, modelling, and carefully designed tasks to move pupils from instinctive responses to deliberate, independent use of language. Learners are encouraged to explain their thinking, justify ideas, and reflect on their work, building both academic maturity and confidence.
I place strong emphasis on stretch and challenge, particularly for confident learners who are often under-challenged. At the same time, I provide supportive guidance that helps struggling pupils feel secure, motivated, and willing to take intellectual risks.
My lessons typically last 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the age, level, and purpose of the session. This allows sufficient time for focused teaching, guided practice, discussion, and reflection without overwhelming the learner.
I am an English educator, literacy specialist, and children’s writing mentor with over twenty seven years of teaching and leadership experience across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. I hold a BA in English Studies, an MA in English Literature with distinction, and I am currently a PhD researcher exploring reading, writing, and how learners develop deep understanding through texts. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK).
My experience spans nursery, primary, secondary, and university education. I have taught English Language and English Literature at upper primary, secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, held senior leadership roles in schools, and provided targeted reading intervention through the UK National Tutoring Programme. I am also a recipient of the National English Teacher of the Year award in Nigeria.
My lessons are designed for:
Primary and secondary school pupils, as well as University students.
