About Patrick
About myself: Hello, my names Patrick. I studied pharmacology at Bristol for 3 years achieving a 1st class degree with honours before starting my current medical degree at barts and the London. I’m currently in my 2nd year of medicine and I’m looking for some work in London to help with my living expenses. I have over 4 years experience tutoring at both GCSE and A-Level in science and geography and have an excellent record of student results. My interests include footballs, F1, cycling and reading.
Approach to tutoring: Every student has different levels of ability, goals and optimal work approaches. As such in my first session I always take the time to build a bit of a rapport with my students and briefly get to know eachother so they feel comfortable and discuss where they are at (grades) and where they want to be (and the timeframe involved). From there I always make my plan with the student involved but In it involved working on a topic and then testing knowledge at the end of the session. If the student is near exams I may set an exam paper for homework and then mark it and go through all the errors so they can learn from them. My general approach to tutoring is to let the student guide the sessions as much as possible and just give them the structure and information they need to succeed while hopefully imparting some inspiration and knowledge.
