About Hunter
Hello All! I recently graduated with my BS in physics from UCSC last year. Now, I am in a graduate program for physics. I have done tutoring and supplemental instruction since I began college. I have helped students one and one and in groups. I have tutored lots in a variety of topics such as: arithmetic, calculus, statistics, chemistry, and physics. I love helping others learn new topics, gain deeper understanding and succeed with their course material.

For the topics I tutor, I have worked mainly with students at the university level, but I am welcome students at all stages in their education. I like to take a student-centered teaching approach. As someone that has gone through the same courses I am tutoring, I know that they are really challenging. I want to meet my students where they are at and help them achieve their goals. I am happy to help you if you are just starting off on a topic and need someone to help you build a strong foundation of understanding, or if you already familiar with the topic and looking for someone to help with practice, methodology of solving problems, etc. In general, the best way for us to learn a new topic is through practice. Together we can gauge where you are and start with a reasonable problem set to get you where you need to be. I also understand you may already have homework and assignments, so I don’t want to add extra work that is unnecessary or overload you. Tutoring is to help you improve your understanding and succeed in the topic.
