About Jonathan
I graduated from the University of Kent (at Canterbury) two years ago with a BA (First Class) in Philosophy.
I also have A-levels in Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology, and have taken online courses in Epistemology with Oxford. I have a wide reading in Philosophy, Literature and Art history, and have a special interest in the history of ideas.
I have given academic assistance to friends/ younger family members, but I am new to tutoring.

I'm here to help any body who needs any general assistance in studying a humanities subject, or more specialist guidance in philosophy. I can help to get you a higher grade, increase your knowledge of a subject or topic, or promote your intellectual development.
I can assist those studying at graduate level or below. As a teacher I want to learn from my students, and would enjoy working with someone curious, critical, and motivated to learn for the sake of learning. I want to inspire an interest in ideas and investigation, and be inspired in turn.
I aim to make our sessions open, pressure-free and interesting. I will try to contextualise ideas within their intellectual history, and in relation to other disciplines. I hope to show how philosophy has impacts in the real-world, and can change how we live.
