About Ismael

I hold a PhD in Computer Science and Mathematics and tutor undergraduate Probability and Statistics. I cover probability theory, random variables, distributions, expectation, hypothesis testing, regression, and statistical modeling. I also support Monte Carlo simulation, stochastic processes at the undergraduate level, and implementation in R or Python. My background includes research-level simulation and applied data modeling.

Statistics is most powerful when connected to mathematics and computation. I work with students who are simultaneously taking Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Programming, helping them see how theory translates into data analysis and simulation. About the lesson

Statistics requires both mathematical rigor and interpretive clarity. I teach probability and statistical inference by connecting distributions, expectation, and variance to real modeling questions. We work through derivations when needed, but also interpret what results mean in practical contexts.

If your course includes computational components, we integrate R or Python to reinforce theoretical concepts through simulation. I ensure students understand assumptions behind models, not just calculation steps.
