About Anamaria
I am a very empathetic person with a natural ability to notice others' needs. One personal experience that taught me a valuable lesson is my experience with my younger son, who is severely dyslexic. Navigating the school system with him has given me deep, firsthand insight into the emotional, cognitive, and confidence barriers neurodivergent learners face. I have actively designed and implemented tailored visual, kinetic, and multisensory learning techniques at home to help him engage with complex material, build independence, and develop academic resilience. This lived experience has fostered exceptional patience, emotional intuition, and adaptability. I am proud of who he has become and what he has achieved. So I believe that every child has amazing potential in their hands.
I specialise in Science, specifically Biology; I am passionate about understanding nature in all contexts, the incredible world we live in, and how we can preserve it. I have a PhD in Science from Imperial College. Maths is the second subject that I specialise in.

I'm passionate about helping young students build confidence and achieve top grades. I offer tailored and engaging lessons. I am friendly, patient and committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
I have a PhD from Imperial College and extensive experience in teaching and mentoring:
--Supervised and guided master's students during my postdoctoral position at Imperial College.
--Mentored and guided students of the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College.
--Mentored and supervised junior scientists at Meridian Bioscience and DNA Electronics.
--Tutored 1-on-1 (face-to-face) Biology and Maths at GCSE and A-levels
My expertise spans Key Stage 2 and 3, GCSE, and A-levels in Maths and Biology.
For my classes, I create a mind map for each student with options in case they lose interest or get distracted. First, I identify what the student doesn't understand, then use interactive approaches, examples, and visual aids to reinforce retention. I provide a clear explanation, and at the end of the session, I ask the student to explain the topic we reviewed back to me; this lets me assess their level of understanding.
