About Miguel

I studied Biochemistry for my undergraduate degree, where I got a well understanding of the fundamental principles of molecular biology, chemistry, and genetics. I then completed a Master's in Translational Biomedical Research, which provided me with hands-on experience in advanced laboratory techniques. After finishing my master's, I pursued a PhD in Biomedicine, focusing on the regulatory mechanisms of neurons involved in fertility control. Currently, I am applying cutting-edge neuroscience methodologies to investigate how weight loss or restricted calorie intake can affect ovulation in women. Throughout my career, I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to others—whether students or colleagues—in a clear and accessible way. This not only allowed me to help others learn but also reinforces my own understanding.

Teaching Methodology: Interactive Learning: I encourage active participation, ensuring students not only grasp theoretical concepts but also understand their practical applications. I often use real-world examples, particularly in biochemistry, bioinformatics, and statistics, to make the material more relatable. Visual and Hands-On Approach: For subjects like biochemistry or natural sciences, I incorporate diagrams, models, and hands-on examples. I also provide data sets for analysis when covering bioinformatics and statistics. Concept Reinforcement: I believe in reinforcing key concepts through exercises, quizzes, and review sessions, especially for complex subjects. We’ll work through problems together to ensure you fully understand how to approach each topic. Typical Length of a Lesson: Lessons usually last 60 minutes, but the duration can be adjusted based on the student's needs and preferences. This allows us to explore the material in depth while keeping the lesson engaging and focused. Qualifications and Experience: In terms of teaching, I have been involved in giving lessons since my undergraduate years, where I taught high school students. During my PhD, I expanded my teaching experience by delivering both official lectures and private lessons to undergraduate students.
