About Shannon
My name is Shannon, and I am a dedicated educator with a passion for helping students grow in confidence and academic skill. I am currently earning my Master’s degree in Elementary Education (K–8) with a focus in Special Education and work as a Special Education Paraprofessional in a middle school. I also bring valuable experience as a former homeschool parent, which has shaped my approach to flexible, individualized instruction. I genuinely enjoy tutoring and learning right alongside my students, and I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful learning. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and student-centered, with a focus on meeting learners where they are and helping them progress at their own pace. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging environment where every student feels capable, supported, and motivated to succeed.

I use patience, encouragement, and clear instruction to help students feel comfortable taking risks and growing academically. My goal is to help students develop strong literacy skills while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a positive attitude toward learning.
