About Christine
I’m a patient, encouraging tutor with a background in Communications, TEFL certification, and experience working with children in one-on-one, homeschool, church, and tutoring settings. I enjoy helping students build confidence while strengthening the skills they need to succeed in school and everyday life.
I work with students in reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, elementary subjects, ESL, study skills, communication, and public speaking. I especially enjoy helping students who may feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or unsure of themselves. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace.

Every lesson is personalized based on the student’s age, current skill level, learning style, and goals. Sessions may include reading fluency and comprehension, writing and grammar, vocabulary, elementary academic support, homework help, ESL conversation practice, study skills, or public speaking.
I like to keep lessons structured but relaxed, with plenty of opportunities for students to participate and practice. I use guided activities, discussion, skill-building exercises, and real-life examples to make learning easier to understand and more engaging.
For students who need extra support, we can break skills into smaller steps and build confidence gradually. For students who are ready for more of a challenge, I can provide higher-level reading, writing, discussion, and communication activities. My goal is for each student to leave the lesson feeling more capable, confident, and prepared for the next step.
