About Aliyu
For as long as I can remember, teaching has always been my calling. From my makeshift tutorial in primary school to a lecturer at the University. My passion for teaching and learning has taken me on an academic journey that culminated in a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. My practical experience in the field of Engineering, having cofounded a technology Start-up as the Chief Technical Officer, that had competed at the United Nations, means that I spice up my teaching with real-world experience, making it fun and exciting for the student. Every tutee is unique, and I tailor my lessons to fit each student’s needs.

I begin engaging each student by understanding their strength and weaknesses. This shall inform how I tailor the lessons to suit the tutee. My theoretical and practical knowledge on the subjects allow me to use real-life examples to strengthen understanding. I have developed an interactive method of tutoring based on my almost two decades of delivering tutorials, creating an enabling atmosphere for the student to flourish. I employ the use of fun tests and assignments to keep the student engaged.
I have years of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics for Secondary School, GCSE, IGCSE, A Level. I also have experience in both postgraduate and undergraduate modules in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Such as such as Mathematics, Digital Systems, Signal Processing, Microcontrollers, Electromagnetic Fields & Waves, Electronic Circuit Design, C programming, Embedded Systems, Digital & Wireless Communication, Digital & Analog Electronics, Antenna Design and Radio Frequency Engineering. I also have expertise in 3D Design and Printing.
