About Chris

I am an Irish guitarist, composer, teacher, and music technologist, based in London.

I studied Music at Trinity College, Dublin and Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, on scholarships from the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust and the Guildhall School Trust, and Classical Guitar at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, with Marion Hyland.

I am also a trained recording engineer, and have produced recordings for bands, classical ensembles, and others.

As a composer, my work has been performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, Crash Ensemble, Andrew Zolinsky, Liam Byrne, Delia Stevens, EXAUDI, Plus Minus Ensemble, and others, at venues and festivals including Wigmore Hall, Milton Court Concert Hall, LSO St. Lukes, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, and New Music Dublin, and my work has also been recorded and released on NMC Recordings.

Elliot

Chris is a passionate and enthusiastic guitar teacher. His skill on his instrument is parralleled only by his vast knowledge of music generally and his ability to impart that knowledge in a holistic, engaging, and entertaining way. I have learnt so much from Chris in my time as his student and would highly recommend him to anyone at any level of musicianship.
