About Leigh

Hey there! I’m Leigh, a songwriter, guitarist, and singer based in Cape Town. Music has been my life for as long as I can remember, and I feel so lucky to have spent the last 10+ years teaching guitar and helping others find their own musical path. I studied guitar at the Jazz Workshop Cape Town and UCT College of Music, and it was there that I began teaching private lessons while also diving deeper into songwriting through workshops. I also host monthly creative nights in my community—I love bringing people together to share their music and ideas. My main styles of music are Jazz, folk, pop and Gospel.

I’m super passionate about helping people discover their creative spark, not just teaching them how to play guitar, but showing them how to express themselves. I’m here to guide and support you, every step of the way. Looking forward to it.

About the lesson

Each of my guitar lessons are all about you and where you're at in your musical journey—whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your skills. We'll build a strong foundation in music theory and guitar technique, so you can feel confident and set yourself up for long-term success.

For beginners, we'll start with the basics, and as you progress, we’ll dive into more advanced techniques. If you're into songwriting, I'll help you create your own music and bring your creative ideas to life.

No two lessons are the same—each one is tailored to your personal goals and interests. Whether you want to play your favorite songs, write your own music, or just enjoy learning the guitar, my lessons are all about keeping it fun, inspiring, and empowering
